Title: 5mm Nylon Webbing & Tubular
Post by: Ri_Ha on December 21, 2016, 06:04:58 AM
Hi, as title suggests really...

I'm wanting to put an adjustable retention cord onto a double pistol mag pouch for a customer. Instead of cutting up 25mm Webbing is there a good source for very narrow webbing preferably in the U.K.

Also I've been thinking about nylon tubular Webbing, seems scarce in the U.K., not a lot coming up on the old gooogle Anyone in the U.K. Seen this in black, tan etc

Thanks, R

I have no idea about your application, but what about shock cord?

Black tubular webbing can be found at point north /profabrics (search google for it) they have good service. I haven't seen any other colors (except white) available in the uk. Tactical trim offers the most colors in europe. But they are pricey, and i took a quick look and most of it is out of stock, and with them you never know how long it takes to restock, could be 3 days could be 3 months. Your best bet is to order a complete roll from GSI. It is cheaper per meter then you will find in europe.(even with shipping costs and taxes) and shipping is really fast. I ordered a roll of type 13 couple weeks back. And it was delivered in under a week. Send them a mail for a quote and you will be surprised. They have excellent service as well.

If you're talking about loops for holding shock cord, I use binding tape folded in thirds with a line of stitching down the centre. It's pretty easy to make up and is flat enough to sew into seams.
