Title: Upper thread breaking - Gemsy KL-0303
Post by: osprey902 on April 13, 2018, 08:10:14 AM
Hello,

I have some question with #138 thread.   Iíve been using it with Mil-W-4088 type 7 and type 13 and it has been doing well.
I just received 1.75" Murdock Multicam Webbing 2 days ago and try to sew some rigger belt.  But the upper thread always break.
So, do you have any recommendation for this problem ?

I use Gemsy KL-0303 with 22/140 needle.

Thank you in advance.

I have a machine set up to run 138 thread and it is set up to run #23 needles.
Your needle size may not be a problem, but is your machine set up to run the needle size that you are using? With the thread and bobbin removed from the machine, verify that your needle to hook clearance is set up properly.
