Title: Good source of 1.5" webbing for belts
Post by: Conan117117 on March 16, 2019, 08:01:20 PM
What is your source for 1.5" belt webbings that are rated for high tensile strength while also not being too stiff? Looking for something similar to what wilderness belts use. Thanks!

Most of their belts look like 1-3/4”. We have some softer 1-3/4” belt webbing if you want a roll of that. It’s the same webbing Tactical Tailor uses for their riggers belts.

I would prefer 1.5" for an everyday wear belt. Do you know who makes your webbings?

The one single roll of black 1-3/4” webbing we have was imported by PK Supplies, likely from Asia. It was too soft for our Modular Gun Belt, so we now use Murdock exclusively for those. An option for sturdy 1.5” belt webbing is the 4015 from GSI. We used to make 1.5” belts with their webbing, but discontinued them. A single layer of the GSI 4015 is very nice for a paints belt.

For an everyday where belt, I use 1.5” 17337 webbing. To bump up the rigidity, I will either line the inside with 55301 or scuba webbing. You could use 55301 altogether. I just like how the 17337 work with the buckles I use, again for non-tactical daily wear.
