Title: Source for zipper pulls
Post by: Alex on June 08, 2015, 11:14:24 AM
Does anyone have a berry compliant source for this style of zipper pull? It's similar to what is being used by Velocity/Mayflower, Truspec and a few other brands.

I think ITW has some plastic pulls which are similar.

I have all berry and non berry polymer ITW pulls and they won't work for the new design I'm working on. They are good solutions, just not the right pull for my current project. The ones in the link above would be perfect, if I can find a berry compliant source.

Any reason you can't use an overhand knot?

It's too much labor, I'm trying to keep that part of the assembly as low labor as possible and still look sharp. The operator would just lace them to the slide and be done. No burning, trimming, etc required. I'd use the polymer ITW pulls but they just don't work for the project I'm working on. The small ITW pulls are too slippery. The pulls in the picture above have good grip molded into them, we should be able to buy them for a few cents a piece and they would be good to go. I've looked at hypalon pull tabs and it's the same thing...too much labor/time required to make them in comparison to buying a molded solution like the pulls in the link above.
