I'd say the 100 for a custom pattern isn't that much considering you're paying someone to sit down and make one for you.  You're paying for his services and expertise and this shouldn't be compared to e.g buying the program. That's like complaining about the price of a logo someone made for you claiming the price of a set of pencils is just a few euro's  ;D

Totally agree with you Vanrhodes. I needed a minimum of 3 custom bartack to start, and i had forseen to spent 300.
If software would had cost 1000 i would have choosen certainly the service but, due the competitive price, i preferred to invest money and time on on it.
Furthermore, you have to consider that the software are the same also for the BAS machines ( amazing up-grade for the future ) so you will be ready to draw and load pattern on it.

Can't remember the exact price for the software - about 200-300EUR.

Very interesting price! Our technician/supplier of machine spare patrs asked us 100 for a single custom tacking pattern.

Yes I have a custom X-box pattern for sewing elastic to leg strap webbing in 38x30mm.
Haven't had the time nor urgent need to program other patterns.
What I can do once back from holidays is post somewhere the procedure for transfering patterns to the bartacker.

Sounds amazing BOOTCAT! Really interested to re-open this topic. What's the price you paid for PS-300? Or you choose a "free alternative" solution?

A lot of interesting solutions guys! Thanks for sharing!

OOT: Do you wind all the bobbins before starting work or you wind a single bobbins, when is empty do you replace it with the full one and put the empty on winder?

Hi all guys,

not a rocket sience, for sure, but i wasn't aware about bobbins clips before.
When I ran my first big production, I needed an huge amount of thread filled bobbins. I tried to stock them in different ways to prevent the tangle of thread beetween bobbins, without fortune.

The better solution that i found was to lock in place the thread with an elastic, but it was a bit complex and a slow operation.

So i decided to print a small clip with a simple design that can embrace the bobbins and prevent unrolling of threads.
After that i discover that they already existed.

Anyway... this is the result: tiny object for an huge improvement

I made bobbins clips for all our machines ( Alder 167-373 / Alder 69-373 / Brother KE-430D ) so if someone want to print them, let me know, i leave you the .STL file
Hope to help someone , have a nice day.

Thread tension is superb.  The sewing supervisor may walk by a machine and, while the sewing g machine operator is prepping for their next step, change settings and/or profiles wirelessly via NFC with a tablet.

That's sounds amazing! We're looking for this kind of machine for 2019. I think it may be a great step forward in terms of productivity and quality.
Can i ask you the range of price for this JUKI? Durkopp Adler with same/similar features fly around 7000 + VAT in EU

Quote! awesome tool for bartacker!
I made my personal version a year ago, with my 3D printer, and with magnet to take it in right place.

I use alot it to make elastic band, for webbing retention. Production timing is really fast!

Hi all guys,

I'm not really new in this forum. I had some trouble about account activation, but be there is the thing!
Is wonderful to be part of this comunity.

Alot of things are changed since we have started to make custom gear in 2009, for hobby. Finally, in 2015, i managed to open my new workshop and new brand "BLACKFOLIUM". Now this is my full time work and i really think that's the best in the world!
From Jenuary 2018 i start to issue our first own design product. In 2019 will be some nice news.

I owe alot to this community, especially in my earlier years, when i tried to make my first works.
I hope to be an active part to this forum in the future.
A big hello to everybody and... since we're close to the Christmas.. Merry Christmas and happy new year!
