I pre-wind multiple colors and keep a bobbin case per machine. I like the clip idea for smaller volume work though.

If you're still looking for sources, I talked to the John Howard Co. at Shot Show and they have both Kevlar and Nomex. Minimum order is $100. If you need a POC let me know.

I was doing some experimentation with this as well. I ended up getting Nomex and Kevlar from Miami Thread. The color selection was limited but they were able to get close to coyote. I had the best luck with the Nomex as far as usability in my light duty Juki and with heat resistance. My working temps were in the 350-500 range.

A little late to the game, but has anyone used West Coast paracord? The specs look good and the price seems decent but you never know about quality until you get it in your hand.

Introductions / Hello from North Texas
« on: December 19, 2018, 08:16:29 PM »
Hello everyone, I'm Nate and I've been lurking the forum for a bit and just now got around to creating an account. Thanks for having me, I'm really enjoying all of the great content here.

Background, I'm a retired Marine Parachute Rigger and FAA Senior Rigger living in North Texas. Started a small tactical nylon and firearms business after retirement. Most of the nylon stuff that I do is associated to the Military Freefall community but I also do small runs of rifle slings and belts, etc. I do most of my prototype stuff in house and then sub my larger production runs out, but I love spending time on the machines as much as I can.
