I use the 1/4" Mini-cell or Cross-Linked Polyethylene for most everything. It's really nice for shoulder pads/padded belts. http://www.thefoamfactory.com/closedcellfoam/cross-linked-polyethylene-foam.html Free shipping for orders over $75 but I typically order 5 to 8 sheets at a time.

PK Supply has the Shorty Web Mount Female Buckles (Duraflex part #9384), I use them all the time. I'm not sure if they have the standard sized ones though.

Vendors and sources / Re: Hook compatible fabric in the US?« on: July 16, 2015, 10:56:22 AM »I think this is what you're after. This was picked up from the local upholstery shop. It's somewhere between coyote and a generic beige or taupe. If you'd like a piece to make some pads, just let me know the dimensions and I'll drop it in the mailOK, I'm doing a custom plate carrier for someone and they want velcro in pads similar to the Cry cage. Every hook type fabric I can find seems to just be really wide velcro (loop) and is too stiff for what I am looking for. Anybody know what it's called and where I can get some? 11

I'm only doing one plate carrier, so I was hoping to find a couple yards. I'll keep the search up.

Not for the first couple years. But Al told me they changed the minimums and I would have to maintain a 100 buckle per order (and I think they needed at least one order per month). So they dropped me down to OEM pricing (about $2 more per buckle). But that was only through the end of last year. Now they have new minimums and point me to GSI.
