Any opinions on Dema sewing?
« on: February 05, 2017, 12:41:19 PM »
I am considering a Dematron pattern tacker, but I can't seem to find much about the brand quality wise. Anyone have any experience with the company or their brand of machines?

They appear to be rebadged Jukis.  Pics linked from http://demasewingautomation.com/

I've attempted contact three times in the last month and never had any response back.  I was asking about a Juki shape tacker they claim is in stock on the website.  I've tried email and voice.  Disappointing.

My boss say they sucked and wouldn't us use the one we kept unless it's a last last resort.

What size sewing area are you looking for?
I was browsing YouTube the other day and ran across a video from Sunny sewing and it was a Jack machine that came with two clamps.
I have been told by a reputable sewing store that Jack was a good quality brand, although I don't have firsthand experience.

I could probably get by with 60mm x 100mm but 100mm x 100mm or more would open up more possibilities with future projects. Also it would be a huge plus if I could get one with an inner clamp for labels but that isn't a must have at this point. I did briefly look at Jack machines but could not find much in the way of reviews.

Right now I have a need for 2x2 box x's, 1x1 box x's, bartacks, and a 1x4 pattern sewn onto webbing. But if I had a larger field I would use it to attach pockets and velcro to various products.
