WTB: 1'' tubular webbing Mil Spec black and MultiCam
« on: August 02, 2017, 10:45:53 AM »
Found on Rocky Woods, but shipping costs are terribly high. :-\

Any ideas (20 meters black and 2-3 meters MultiCam)?

You can buy tubular black at https://www.extremtextil.de/schlauchband-polyester-einfarbig-27mm.html

I have tubular multicam in stock and I can send you 3meters to you.

I live 15 minutes from Rocky Woods. I can pick some up for you and ship it. It won't be cheap tho. An insane amount of RW's business is actually international, so whatever their rates are I would imagine are quite reasonable, considering.

I bought some of the Multicam tube, it fades super fast and isn't anything special. It isn't the same as MilSpec tube rated to 4000lbs. You're better off making your own Multicam tube out of Cordura if it isn't for a weight bearing application.

Happy to help if I can otherwise.

Thank you!
Crazy to see that it comes from...France! There are 3 really big producers in France, but none of them wants to sell small quantities. So have to go through reseller.

This is a very small order, so at the end the shipping cost is as high as the total price for the goods (ratio 1:1). For larger orders the shipping cost is not so high in relation to the total cost (ratio 3:1) and that is more reasonable.

Thanks! Good to know about the multicam tube, so that is probably a non mil spec cheap dyed. What would you recommend as a mil spec multicam tube (1'')?  It's for slings, so need to have good strength and good colour resistance over time.

The tubular multicam is from Texel, the reason why it looses colour is because it is printed webbing.

Murdock and MMI makes flex webbing on dimension, but if you are small company and do not make a huge amount of slings then it is still the old school way to make flex slings.

This one is from MMI made for Armageddon Gear, Murdocks version looks more agressiv since the elastic is exposed in the weave. Sorry dont have pictures of it only so it when I visit Tacticaltrim.

What do they use inside this flex webbing? Shockcord?

It looks like the tube is made with elastic threads, so there is no elastic inside the tube

I have purchased Extrem Textile 1'' tubular black webbing: not the best for slings, it is a bit too thick. Looking for something thinner :)
The Grey tubular webbing is very nice!
