70E Elastic Webbing
«

I'm curious to see where people are buying their polyester elastic webbing. I need rolls of ranger green in 1" and 1.5".
AND does anyone know if there is MultiCam elastic with the same look/feel as the 70E stuff?
For reference, this is the type of elastic:

We use GSI 70E elastic. We used their camo green elastic for a ranger green project and it looked fine!

Please pardon my ignorance... is 70E a spec? A part number? Is there more than one mill manufacturing it?

No idea. It seems that many suppliers stock "70E" polyester elastic webbing...

I recently discovered that GSI's nylon elastic is cheaper than the equivalent 70E. Seems sturdier too.

Which elastic from GSI. They have 70E Polyester and Milspec 5664 nylon. I prefer the woven polyester, as it's thicker feeling and seems tougher.

To clarify - we use the 5664 nylon elastic from GSI instead of their 70E.

Bootcat, can you show me a product that uses the 5664. Found your shotgun cards, and they look like woven 70E:

The Shotcard in the pic used type 70E. I don't think we have a picture of 5664. It's very similar to the style that Texcel used to carry if that helps.

I just wanted to see it being used in various applications. I'll do some googling...

Is 70E the elastic that tears apart when it's close to loop? If so, I'm not a fan of it.

I've bought the mil spec MIL-W-5664 elastic by the roll from KWWebbing.com in Rhode Island
