Squadron Multicam fabric
« on: February 20, 2018, 10:41:45 PM »
Howdy,

Does anyone have any any experience with this new material? I saw it was released in June, but I haven't seen anything else about it since. Right now I've been using ACRONYM for my laser cutting, but the 24 in width has been my limiting factor for some projects. I reached out to 1947, but didn't get any response. Does anyone have some?

I picked up a roll of the Multicam/Coyote brown and black because I need 36" wide material.
It lasers very nice, but I am still working it into my product line, so I can't comment too much beyond that.

Any issues with delamination?

When I purchased mine a few months ago (from Brookwoods), there was only the two color combos offered but I was told that their Grey might be the next candidate.
Any issues with delamination?
None so far, but I am still in the testing phase, which is also why I am slow to incorporate it fully into my line.

Is this the same fabric that the USMC have selected for their new plate carrier? If so I would expect it do be durable enough compared to other options.

Doubt anyone will reveal what the use to laminate them, but I'd expect it to be similar (or the same) as what WTF uses.

500d Multicam to 1,000d Coyote brown 498, and 500d black to 1,000d black, for the two colors that I got from Brookwoods.

I'm not sure if it is the same material or a batch that they produced as a test. They didn't have Coyote brown on Coyote brown when I made my purchase, but that might have changed by now.
