OD Green Webbing & Cordura

Who has a good source for matching webbing and fabric. It has been very difficult to find OD that matches.

Ever think about just switching to CG483? Plenty of source out there.

Never liked Camo Green 483. I don't see it used anywhere. Occasionally I see it paired up with M81 (Early Arc'Teryx LEAF stuff). Maybe once with AOR2. What are people using it for?

Ya true it's a bit dark and the fact that no company had ever make gear in CG483 kind of kill the potential for it. Unfortunately most companies had pretty much moved on to ranger green just as how they move away from khaki to coyote.

I know for sure that there still plenty of source for OD green fabric out there, so maybe make the webbing out of fabric? It will take more time but at least everything would match.

Well I am not in business and the few items I make are not the same level of quality as the rest of you; that said the majority of what i do make is Camo green 483, 1000D Cordura. I use it because it fits in with a lot of military surplus and its similar to some of the  Darker Green stuff coming out of China.   So far i have been able to find what i need from retailers on Ebay.

I used OD for a few years until i finally got fed up with issues with color matching different OD materials. It's a real hit or miss whether your webbing matches the cordura. Also, if you buy webbing in various widths, the odds are that those won't match either.

When i build gear from the Finnish M05 camo, i use a Finnish mil-spec webbing;

I am not a big fan of that material; it differs from the standard solution dyed mil-spec stuff that i use (CB, RG), but the quality and color is consistent. Also, different webbing widths match perfectly.

GD; here you can find some reference pics;

https://www.varusteleka.com/en/product/sarma-tst-chestrig-sf/32979

As you see, the webbing shines a bit in a direct light.. i have noticed that to be the case with most European milspec webbing

Gear Dynamics; I apologize for not getting a picture as your request. I am trying to get my wife to take a picture of one of my Fanny Packs. Plus Being new to this site we (meaning my wife) haven't figured out how to post pictures.

Bentneedle, to post a picture, you’ll need to upload the image to a third party hosting service, like imgur, photobucket etc. Once uploaded, you can copy the link to the image and then past that between some image tags. Add the image tags to your post using the post tools button on the far left that looks like the Mona Lisa.

Alternatively, you could also post a link to another website where the photo is, Facebook page, a blog or whatever.
