Its sort of done. I just need to do the straps. Why is it that all I see are the flaws?

Looks good, I like that it has load lifters, too often left out of packs IMO. Also, every time you post a project, I want to hear more about the whiteboard in the background!

Only improvement I can think about is to add some form of pocket or attachment on the side marked with red oval:

In terms of the whiteboard, was working on a model of the the cognitive process of Wall Street analysts and portfolio managers. I was using the whiteboard when I wrote my book. I then decided to go back part time for my second masters -this one in cognitive science - so Im doing foundational work now after which Im going to rework the model. So the white board is just sort of sitting there. TMI?

The next time you could think to put the webbing in this way so you have less thickness and it's coolest. (thanks to jma)

I have a question. Why did you put the mesh on top of the backpanel where no contact is involved?

ps. Congratulation for the book, which kind of book is it?

This is a serious mistake. This buckles must be stitched in the opposite direction, or you risk tearing it off. Also you need to make some visible bartacks here, now it looks like it is attached by one simple stitch line

You shouldn't use clothing zippers (upper pocket, below the Velcro patch) - it has stopper mechanism, non-rotatable puller and its too thin, this will cause problems in the future

Not TMI, cool stuff, and thanks for sharing.
