Question about quick release mod
« on: November 19, 2019, 04:37:25 PM »
I have a JPC I want to modify to have a quick release shoulder strap like the AVS and similar plate carriers. Has anyone here done a  mod like this before? Or does anyone have tips/advise on how to go about the modification? My initial instinct is to remove the existing shoulder strap and make a new one with a QR buckle.

Thanks.

Why not a modification that isn't so permanent, something that mimics the design of the 2.0's release is effective and requires no permanent mods. Doesn't have a buckle, but the pull through tab is less obtrusive when shouldering a rifle.

For ease of don/doffing - not really for in-extremis use. The buckles have never been a problem for me shouldering a rifle.
