zipper tape and sliders

I need advise on zipper tape and pulls.

I am hoping to start sewing again and I am in need of a small amount of zipper tape and sliders for a medical back-pack.

I need to find a source for zipper tape and or sliders.

I am thinking I should use #10

Any advise or comments are welcome

How small of an amount? If just a few yards then may I suggest WTF. If you need more, Lenzip will sell 109yard rolls and 100slider minimum order. They’re made in US and from my testing their coil zippers is just as good if not better than YKK.

The size depends on application and material. A #10 is a huge zip, and very often a #5 or #8 would be a much better choice.
If you only want a single size, I'd go with #8 and if you are looking for by the yard then go with WTF. If not, go directly to your YKK rep.

Essal; the medical backpack I am wanting to make is similar to a military Backpack that uses a #10 zipper.

I originally was going to use a #8 zipper.  The zipper must be able to hold the pressure of a full medical back pack

Gear Dynamics; how is the #8 zipper tape working for you. May i ask what product you are using the #8 zipper on ?

I am wanting to make a medical Backpack similar to Specialty Defenses molle II backpack.

I know this may sound lame but, i am having trouble, trying to decide what zipper size i should use.

I would like to have a zipper in a military green color, but I am having trouble finding the zipper tape in that type of color.

I am not against using a coyote brown even for a Camo or foliage green bag.

Sorry didn’t see this. The #8 we use on all of our pouches. For a back pack main zipper, I’d lean more toward a #10 for durability. For colours, it can be hard to find quality products in OD green. YKK does a Ranger Green, but honestly, Black and Coyote are the easiest to find and if you can only stock a few colours those are my choices.
