I am looking for a snap hook swirvel like this but in black. And I have had no luck finding something similar other then steel.

We used to use those when I was a diver. We called them spinnaker shackles, and we used brass ones. They were a pain to find good ones.
I don't have a good source, but I would recommend staying away from the ones milspecmonkey.com sells.

Yes, the Milspec Monkey ones are not the greatest. I ordered a few and promptly returned them. I needed them to close with one hand which was not possible with the ones I had. They also had pretty loose tolerances. I've found quality snap shackles are quite expensive. Not a swivel one but:

I know the non-swivel are very well priced, but they don't come in black. You're best bet is to annodize them for a nice color finish. Otherwise they come out looking half-assed like the MSM shackles.
