I'd like to know how others are accounting their year-end inventory. Aside from easily countable items like buckles, how are you guys measuring rolls of webbing, fabrics, spools of cordage etc. Please share your methods and what you do to save time. Thanks!

Easiest method should be to weigh it.
For rolls, you can weigh a certain length of each type (the greater length the greater precision, unless you have an accurate scale) and then cross-multiply with the total weight of the rolls and you get the remaining length.
For fabrics you can use the weight/yd² or m², and for spools you already know the approx ratio weight/length for each size.

For rolls there is also a way to calculate the length using the inner/outer diameters and the webbing thickness (I recommand measuring like 10 layers and average it) : http://www.wieland.com/internet/ringrechner/rr_bandlaenge_c.jsp
