Anyone have an opinion on this brand or this exact machine. I found one for fairly cheap and I'm thinking about buying it as an attachment machine.

Good machine, I had one with a different name on it, with a size M bobbin.
I think I sold mine for $800.00, if that gives you an idea of pricing.

If I was going to set up another binding machine and I wanted to purchase a used machine, it would be a top load with size U bobbins. A Juki 563 comes to mind, Nick O sewing had a used one for $900 a while ago, you might send him an Email. My current single needle binding machine is a Juki 1508 that I paid full pric for New. Every time I do a large binding run I'm grateful for the size U bobbins, as my last machine was a Juki 562 with size G bobbins that always seemed to run outright in the muddli of a job.
Food for thought.

What size is the bobbin on the MSK-8600B? My current machine uses "M" which is a tiny bit smaller than "U". I wouldn't want any smaller than that.

I ended up buying another DNU-1541. Found a used one in good condition for $1300 CAD. Hopefully it'll get here soon and I can monkey around with it.
