I ordered some printed ones through www.cottontrends.nl once. They were the kind you'd find in the back of the neck in a tee. Wasn't really my thing, they frayed, and the od background colour was just printed on so it wasn't very durable.

I bought a little cheap Chinese laser engraver a couple of weeks ago and am now using scraps of 1000D and hypalon.

Remember the fumes from Hypalon is toxic so remember safety equipment.

We started with printed labels but dident like how they looked after use. Then we changed to wowen labels to attach inside pouches. And now all the labels are made on hypalon with laser.

What is it you want to do with the labels?

Would you mind sharing info and source for the laser engraver?

Get these: http://www.wtfidea.com/custom-tags/

I concur with essal, I get them from WTF also and I'm very happy with them, even with how they look 2 or more years later. Shipping such a light weight package across the pond couldn't be that much, reach out to them over at WTF and see what they can do to get it to you.

Ordered it through DealExtreme. http://www.dx.com/p/neje-high-power-500mw-diy-laser-box-laser-engraving-machine-laser-printer-black-blue-401772

Don't expect any miracles or high speed production, but I think it's a nifty little machine. If you'd like me to laser some stuff as an example and mail it to you I'd be happy to.

Is it a 1.5x1.5" work area?
I love this:

I'm with die, I don't mind that the labels wear out faster than the products. It also says something about your label placement if it's thrash after a year...

Essal, indeed it is, it's small but well enough for labels.

We used to print our airsoft maps on PVC fabric in basically photo quality. The base sheet is white.
As a trial we have printed some Little Needle labels with the same technology and we'll test them in the close future. I'm curious how long they'll last without fading. I'll also do some manual stress test. :)

That's fantastic...
I did hint at engraving al Baghdadi's face on some bacon, and at $80 I just might go for it lol...
