WTB 500 denier cordura rolls of Black and 498
« on: May 04, 2016, 11:02:21 PM »
I'm looking to buy rolls (preferable 25 or 50 yards) of 500 denier PU coated cordura.  I know there is probably a few links buried in this forum, but I'm wondering if someone wouldn't mind pointing me to a US supplier.

I am paying just over $6 a yard, so I would be looking to beat that.  If you have some you would be willing to part with for around that price, I would rather give my money to a fellow maker rather than some random dude on ebay.  Also, I need the supplier to actually know what Coyote Brown 498 is.  I have had a few suppliers not get it right in the past, and have about 3 colors of cordura that are supposedly 498, but are all different colors.

Thanks,
Chuck

Duro Textiles or Brookwoods could probably help you out.

Last time I got something from Duro it was $6.45/yard, but at least you know that you get mil-spec stuff and not some shady 2nd grade thing.

Thank you.  I just ordered a roll of black 500 D from brook woods.  They are sending a swatch packet.  I want to make sure the browns and greens match my webbing, binding, and thread before I buy a roll of that stuff.

Thanks again,
Chuck

Chuck,
Good move for buying from Brookwoods, that way you will get matching colors roll to roll.
It's a decision I made a few years ago and have never looked back.

Scott,  I don't think I will be going to another supplier any time soon either.

I just want to throw in a quick plug for Brookwoods.  I called them up, told them what I wanted, they gave me a quote, and shipped the same day.  It showed up at my door a few days after that.

For the 500 Denier black Cordura I was looking for, they typically sell it in 75 rolls, which is what I got.  They also happened to have a few rolls with 20ish yards they were willing to sell.  If you aren't ready to make the jump to a full roll, it may be worth checking with them to see if they have any partial rolls.

Prices were good, and shipping was reasonable.
